All trails below are rated “easy” on GoHeberValley.com. Most list May–October as their best season. Mid-October is near the end of the season, and conditions can change quickly.
Valais Park Loop
0.8-mile loop
Short, popular walking loop in Midway.
Midway Center Street Trail
Approximately 2 miles, paved
Paved, stroller-friendly path into downtown Midway.
Memorial Hill
2.1-mile out-and-back
Open year-round with valley views. Shared with vehicles, so watch for traffic.
Pine Creek Nature Trail
0.5 mile one way
Easy hike to a boulder field. Described as “fun for families.”
Cottontail Loop
1.4-mile loop
Easy loop in the Dutch Hollow trail system.
Heber Valley Overlook
2.3-mile loop
Trail offering views of the Heber Valley.
Cascade Springs Trail
0.8-mile loop
Boardwalks and bridges over clear pools. Road access is seasonal.
Bridal Veil Falls
Short paved path
Paved walk to the base of the falls. Open year-round.
Provo River Parkway
Up to 14 miles, paved
Multi-use path for all ages and abilities. Walk or bike any portion.

Bridal Veil Falls, Provo River Parkway, and Mount Timpanogos views.

24 miles, paved
Cascade Springs boardwalks and beautiful fall scenery.
Fee to stop.
Paved and winding
Climbs to 9,717 feet with opportunities for fall color and wildlife viewing.
Not recommended for large RVs or trailers.
Uinta Mountains
Includes a short paved trail to Provo River Falls.
Fee to stop.
Quieter scenic route with wildlife viewing that loops back to Heber City via Highway 40.
Short drive above Midway with views of the valley.

Utah’s only historic railroad. The Deer Creek Express runs most days. Arrive 30 minutes early.
Kohler Creamery / Heber Valley Artisan Cheese
Farm tours, grilled cheese, ice cream, and fudge. Open Monday–Saturday, 10 AM–6 PM.
Swim or snorkel in 90–96°F geothermal water. Reservations are strongly recommended. Life vests are required and provided, including infant sizes. Scuba is available for ages 10+.
Wasatch Aquatic Center
Lap pool, lessons, and a kids’ pool in Heber City.
Wasatch County Recreation Center
Courts, turf, batting cages, and a golf simulator.
Wasatch Pump Track
Asphalt pump track for all wheels, ages, and abilities, located next to a park with a playground and skate park.
Holiday Lanes
Bowling, burgers, and shakes in Heber City.
Classic single-screen cinema in Heber City, operating since 1948. Evening shows.
Free library with family-friendly resources and activities. Monday–Friday, 10 AM–8 PM; Saturday, 10 AM–2 PM.
Daughters of Utah Pioneers Museum
Free museum in Heber City. Tuesday–Saturday, 1–4 PM.
Town Parks with Playgrounds
Heber: Main Street Park and Southfield Park
Midway: Centennial Park
Other: Wheeler Park features a climbing wall.
